We previously dove in depth into Search Engine Optimization (SEO) for Funeral Homes. Now I want to share with you a couple graphics that really drive home the importance and value of proper SEO.
The following “heat map” shows where user’s eyeballs focus during a search. You can see that the focus is concentrated in the upper left, and tails off quickly after the top 1 or 2 search results.
This next chart shows the result of a study indicating that the first search result for a particular query receives about 4 times the clicks as the second result, and over 50% of the overall clicks.
Given the importance of having a high search engine results page (SERP) placement, maybe it’s time to touch up on your search engine optimization skills! Or you could always just give us a call!
