Hi, I’m Zach Garbow, co-founder of Funeral Innovations. So today we’re going to talk about three big trends that we noticed in 2019 that are going to be huge for your business in 2020.
Facebook ads
The first one is Facebook ads. Now, it used to be really easy on Facebook. You would just post some content organically, and for free you’d get it seen by tons of people in your community. But now it’s much harder because there’s so many people on Facebook and so many businesses that it’s really difficult to break through and organically get your stuff seen by people. That means the organic reach has been plummeting. Fortunately, Facebook ads are a way to break through. With Facebook ads, you can craft a really targeted message and use Facebook’s targeting features to make sure it’s seen by just the right people. That way you’re also not wasting money on it seen by the wrong people.
Multichannel marketing
The second trend is multichannel marketing. It’s not enough to simply be on Facebook because your message, your content needs to be seen by people in your community up to a dozen times for them to be ready to take some action. That means you need to reach them wherever they’re spending their time, whether it’s on Facebook or Google, your blog, newsletters, emails, and even SMS.
Building relationships
The third big trend is relationships are required. To get somebody to finally take some action, they need to trust you and your brand. To do that, you need to speak to them personally and consistently over time. So you can do that on Facebook to introduce yourself, but then you need to continue to speak just to them, not with a canned message, but about what they actually care about. And if you do that, you’ll be able to bring them along to the point where they trust you and will actually take some action.
So to summarize, everything you should focus on in 2020 to help your business take off is Facebook ads, multichannel marketing, and building relationships with people in your community. And if you do that, you’re going to see a lot of success online, and are really going to grow your business in 2020.
